Tahirih Comments on Asylum Ban Issued on July 16, 2019
The Tahirih Justice Center submitted comments opposing the U.S. Department of Justice and Homeland Security’s interim final rule on asylum, which was issued on July 16, 2019. The rule unlawfully bars asylum for highly vulnerable refugees such as our clients whom our asylum system was rightfully designed to protect.
