Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities Include:
- Country Conditions Expert: Researches and analyzes country-specific human rights, legal, and social conditions to support asylum and other protection-based cases.
- Fundraising: Supports Tahirih’s mission by assisting with donor outreach, research, and events.
- Mental Health Provider: Offers trauma-informed, culturally responsive mental health support to survivors in coordination with Tahirih staff and advocates.
- Translation/Interpretation: Helps ensure language access by translating documents or interpreting of informational materials, during client meetings, and other interactions.
- General Client Assistance: Assists clients with practical needs such as resource referrals, appointment coordination, and other supportive, non-legal tasks.
- And other tasks as needed.

All volunteers must pass a background check and complete a short training course on working with survivors of violence. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
