Bloomberg reported on the administration’s plan to change a rule around the treatment of migrant children so that they may be detained indefinitely while awaiting trial, rather than abiding by a 20-day limit. Tahirih Senior Immigration Policy Counsel, Irena Sullivan, commented:

“Survivors of violence need access to trauma-informed care, not indefinite incarceration.”
