During the week of April 1, 2019, the House of Representatives will be voting on the bill to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). Please call your representative and ask that he/she support the bipartisan bill!
VAWA is a critical law in the fight to end domestic abuse and sexual assault. Its programs help survivors reach hotlines and crisis centers, and hold perpetrators accountable. You can read more about VAWA by reading this fact sheet or Tahirih’s testimony.
After failing to reauthorize VAWA before its expiration, Congress now has an opportunity to demonstrate its commitment to ending domestic and sexual violence. This women’s history month, we need your help.
