In 2010, the Tahirih Justice Center provided direct services to 852 women, girls, and family members fleeing violence. Including referrals, we assisted a total of 1,022 individuals from our three offices across the United States.

2004-2005 Impact Report
Our public policy advocacy victories took center stage in 2004-2005. Through the persistent advocacy for, and ultimate passage of, the International Marriage Broker Regulation Act, Tahirih Justice Center found itself on the national stage and in media outlets such as Newsweek, NBC Nightly News, Fox News, and The Washington Post advocating for the protection of so-called “mail-order brides.”
