On June 18, 2024, the Administration announced new policies that will shield certain undocumented spouses of U.S. citizens and their children from deportation and provide them with the ability to work legally in the United States as they pursue citizenship.

On June 12, 2024, the Tahirih Justice Center and 46 national, statewide, and local organizations dedicated to supporting survivors of gender-based violence submitted a formal comment in response to the proposed rule by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
