June marks the 20th anniversary of providing social services at Tahirih Justice Center.
Social service advocates have played a critical role in providing trauma-informed, necessary care to Tahirih’s clients. Tahirih is built on providing holistic, client-centered services to help guide, uplift, and bring justice to the brave, strong souls fleeing gender-based violence.
For 20 years, social service advocates have walked alongside clients and offered emotional support, helped meet basic needs, navigated challenges, celebrated every success, and most importantly, ensured they felt safe and never alone.
Although the world feels particularly small lately, this month marks a major win for Tahirih in giving social services the space, respect, and opportunity for this profession. May it continue for generations yet to come.
