Tahirih Statement on U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Guidance for Asylum
The Tahirih Justice Center is dismayed that the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Asylum Division has issued instructions that implement parts of the Attorney General’s deeply flawed decision in Matter of A-B-. It will result in the turning away of many courageous women who made the bold step of fleeing and seeking safety.

Tahirih Complaint to DHS Regarding Due Process Violations
The Tahirih Justice Center filed this complaint to the Department of Homeland Security’s Office for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties regarding violations of due process by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The complaint urges DHS to investigate unlawful coercive conduct by CBP toward asylum seekers and take action accordingly to prevent further violations of due process.
Statement on the Prosecution of Parents With Children
As a member of the National Task Force to End Sexual and Domestic Violence’s Steering Committee, the Tahirih Justice Center joined colleague organizations in issuing this letter to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen urging the Administration to cease the prosecution of parents seeking safety with their children in the United States.
