Sophie Leveille joined Tahirih in 2019. As Development Associate, Sophie carries out the fundraising and communications needs of the office through activities such as individual donor management, grant management, and event planning. Before joining Tahirih, Sophie served as a Program Director and Fine Arts Instructor at the Otis Redding Foundation. Immediately following her undergraduate studies, she lived and researched in Cape Town, South Africa. There, she focused on the effectiveness of songwriting and music programs on resettled youth to promote unity and self-expression. In addition to her work at Tahirih, Sophie serves as a Board Member with the Association of Fundraising Professionals for Greater Atlanta and Professional Development Committee Member with the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network.
I am inspired by Tahirih’s relentless pursuit of justice for women and children seeking a better future.
