What the Executive Orders on Immigration Mean for Women and Girls Fleeing Violence
Please join the Tahirih Justice Center for a discussion of the three executive orders relating to immigration signed by President Trump on January 25 and 27, 2017 and what they could mean for Tahirih clients. This webinar for Tahirih’s Pro Bono Attorney Network will focus on the provisions of the orders that are anticipated to have the most significant impact on the ability of survivors of gender-based violence to access protections they need and merit under existing U.S. law.

The webinar will be led by Archi Pyati, Tahirih’s Chief of Policy and Programs. As Chief of Policy and Programs, Archi spearheads national and local policy and programmatic initiatives, overseeing direct services to immigrant women and girls and forging and mobilizing diverse, bi-partisan coalitions to press for laws, regulations, and policies to better protect them from violence.
