The Tahirih Justice Center is a national non-profit organization dedicated to representing immigrant women and girls who refuse to be victims of violence. We operate on a holistic model, providing direct immigration legal services, family law services, and social services, as well as advocacy before government agencies and Congress.
Interns with the National Legal and Social Services team will:
- conduct legal research
- update case law summaries
- update internal brief bank
- research country conditions
- update guidance and practice tools
Please note this internship does not include direct client services. Internships are unpaid, but many interns receive credit for work completed at Tahirih. Interns may work at Tahirih’s national office in Falls Church, VA, or remotely.
Requirements: Enrollment in law school, excellent research, writing and analytical skills, commitment to public interest law. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. Interns must be available to work at least 10 hours per week for 8-16 weeks.
