Master of Ceremonies: Angela Kinsey
Angela Kinsey
Actor, The Office

Angela Kinsey is best known for her portrayal of the feisty, tightly-wound head of accounting ‘Angela Martin’ at Dunder Mifflin on NBC’s Emmy winning show The Office, for which she openly pulled from her experience working as an operator for 1-800-Dentist before becoming an actor. Angela most recently starred as a series regular in the Netflix Original series Haters Back Off!, playing the quirky mother to YouTube’s ‘Miranda Sings.’ In addition to her TV roles, Angela was encouraged by Colleen Ballinger, who plays her TV daughter ‘Miranda Sings,’ to try her hand at YouTube. Angela and her husband, Josh Snyder, can be seen on their shared YouTube Channel, “Baking with Josh & Ange,” where they try their hands in the kitchen each week with a tutorial and hilarious anecdotes.

On the big screen, Angela starred in the Chris Colfer-scribed flick, “Struck by Lightning,” portraying a guidance counselor with very little insight into living a successful life. She also appeared in the 2016 feature “Hot Bot” by the Polish Brothers. Other films include Ken Kwapis’ “License to Wed” and playing Ken Jeong’s right-hand in “Furry Vengeance.” This past Summer it was announced that Angela was cast in Heather Graham’s directorial debut entitled, “Half Magic.” Other credits include a starring role in the Hulu Original, Hotwives of Orlando, as well as recurring roles on FOX’s New Girl, an arc in the TBS comedy Your Family Or Mine, NBC’s Bad Judge, FX’s Wilfred, TV Land’s Hot in Cleveland and The Impressions Guys on Rainn Wilson’s SoulPancake YouTube Channel.

Following a 2-year contract with Clairol as the face of their ‘Nice n’ Easy’ brand, Angela was called upon by Friskies to host their annual award show that honors the best cat YouTube videos of the year. She emceed alongside Michael Ian Black and continued to help Friskies donate over 500,000 cans of wet food to shelters across America with their 2013 holiday campaign. Angela is also an active Ambassador for Oceana, the world’s biggest campaign to protect oceans and marine life. She and friend Rashida Jones traveled with Oceana to Belize in November 2013 to raise awareness around the world’s second largest barrier reef.

Originally from Texas, Kinsey grew up in Jakarta, Indonesia, and still speaks the language. A graduate of Baylor University, Angela currently lives in Los Angeles and can be followed @AngelaKinsey.

Keynote Speaker: Adama Iwu
Adama Iwu
Featured TIME Magazine “Person of the Year”

On October 17, 2017, The Los Angeles Times published an open letter – led by Adama Iwu and signed by over 140 women – on the pervasive culture of sexual harassment and assault in politics. That letter struck a chord with women in politics and other industries, who reached out to share their stories – and to call for solutions. This resulted in the creation of the We Said Enough Foundation, whose mission is to eliminate bullying, harassment, and assault in all its forms. Adama now serves as the President of the Board. As a result of these efforts, Adama was named a Silence Breaker by Time Magazine in December 2017 and featured on the cover of the People of the Year edition.

Adama also serves as Senior Director of western U.S. government relations for Visa, a position she assumed in January of 2015. She is responsible for advancing Visa’s technology and business policy issues at the state level. These issues include a wide variety of technical topics such as cyber security, data security, virtual currencies, data breach and privacy as well as engaging on general business issues such as labor and taxation.

Additionally, she manages Visa’s relationships with a number of technology and industry

trade associations as well as collaborates with industry leaders and policy makers to advance smart policy objectives and drive Visa’s state level efforts educating policymakers on issues facing the payments industry.

Before joining Visa, Adama was the head of California Government Affairs for Farmers Insurance where she managed legislative, regulatory and political affairs for California’s largest personal and worker’s compensation insurance carrier.

Prior to that, she was Director of Western States Government Relations at Advance America where she was responsible for legislation and policy in 11 western states. She has also served as Director of Legislative Affairs for the California Association of Physicians Groups. She began her career in public policy as an Executive Fellow in the Schwarzenegger administration in 2005.

Adama has a BA in Political Science from the University of San Diego and currently resides in San Francisco.
