Pearl Sales Events in Houston and Washington, DC Continue to Excite Constituents and Support Tahirih
For a fourth year, Tahirih is partnering with Amylin’s Pearls & Jewelry to raise money to protect women and girls from violence. Each year, Amy Lin partners with Tahirih to sell high-quality discounted pearls at home events and office lobby events organized by Tahirih, donating almost half of the entire sale to the Tahirih Justice Center. We would like to thank Amy Lin and her staff in Shanghai for their continued collaboration with Tahirih and passion to support women and girls fleeing violence.
This year we are incredibly thankful to have strengthened ties with our Houston support base through a series of four pearl events held in early November, which raised nearly $35,000 with 45% of all sales going towards the Tahirih Justice Center. Tahirih is also looking forward to hosting four pearl events in the Washington, DC metro area. Please join us at one of the following locations, or visit our website for more details:
- December 7th – 12-6PM, at the main lobby of the Chevron building
- December 8th – 12-6PM, at the main lobby of the Akin Gump building
- December 12th 1-4PM, home event in Great Falls
- December 13th – 12-6PM, at the main lobby of the Arnold and Porter building
The Tahirih Justice Center is extremely grateful for the hard work of so many in making our pearl events a wonderful success. Everyone who volunteered, hosted an event, assisted with the planning, and bought pearls contributed to our being able to raise significant funds. We are also indebted to Amy Lin and her staff for her continued support of our work and realize without her, these events wouldn’t be possible.
